Scientech Research is a prominent Quantitative Hedge Fund with locations in Jersey City, New Jersey, and Shanghai. We are currently in search of a skilled Finance Manager to analyze daily financial activities and provide strategic guidance to upper management on future financial plans. This individual will play a crucial role in our firm and oversee all corporate finance and accounting functions.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage financial duties such as generating data, compiling reports, analyzing trends, and assessing the company's financial health.

2. Supervise finance department operations, including policy creation, budgeting, recruitment, training, and process evaluation.

3. Oversee preparation of account reconciliations, ensure tax and financial reporting compliance, and assist with cash flow forecasting.

4. Coordinate with auditors to ensure proper financial monitoring.

5. Develop financial trends and projections.

6. Identify cost-reduction opportunities through reviews and evaluations.

7. Set department goals, advise management on financial decisions, and document financial status and forecasts.

8. Mediate financial matters with colleagues, stakeholders, and investors.

9. Create strategic business plans based on financial analysis.

 

Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of senior finance experience in a hedge fund or buy side asset manager.

2. Strong understanding of financial trends and market patterns.

3. Proficiency in finance software.

4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

5. Ability to lead and manage employees effectively.

6. Sound knowledge of financial statistics and accounting principles.

7. Familiarity with statutory legislation and regulations.

8. BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

9. Professional qualifications like CFA/CPA are a plus.
